Help programs
Thankfully, Windows and Windows programs all come with help.
Unfortunately, most of the help text was written by GEEKS! It takes a while to get used to the terminology they use, as well as the logic they use, but it gets clear after a while.
At any rate, to get to help from the desktop, click the start button, then click on Help from the menu.
Most programs have a Help menu on the menu bar.
You can also press the F1 key on the keyboard, almost always, to bring up help.
At any rate, Help has three functions:
| Function |
Description |
Contents |
Uses a book, chapters and pages metaphor. Clck on a book to open it. Click on a page to read it. |
Index |
Each book and page has Index entries that classify it. Subjects are listed alphabetically. |
Search |
Search lets you type in a word or phrase. It might not find a match. |
Good luck, and may the Force be with you!
